Marketing Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing marketing campaigns that articulate our capabilities and service offerings, drive new business opportunities and reinforce our companies’ brands across all media platforms

  • Ensuring successful execution of the Marketing team’s objectives and day-to-day marketing activities while meeting deadlines with effective time management skills and following established approval procedures

  • Coaching, inspiring and training employees and outside partners on our processes and service offerings

  • Establishing and maintaining the Marketing calendar

  • Developing and working with Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator to create sales enablement materials, including company brochures, marketing slicks, website content, social media content, video scripts, case studies, press releases, inside sales scripts and more

  • Overseeing the planning of industry conferences and tradeshows, including registrations, developing promotional campaigns via social media, email and print marketing and identifying new event opportunities that align with our target audience(s)

  • Participating in yearly budget planning, tracking expenses and approving and submitting invoices for payment

  • Identifying effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis and optimize accordingly

  • Understanding competitor product and service offerings and identifying key differentiators to utilize in our sales and marketing initiatives

  • Working with vendors to ensure product or service received is of the highest quality and represents our company with integrity

  • Monitoring and correcting any brand compliance issues

  • Supporting our Business Development and Sales teams in proposal writing and client-specific presentations, as needed

  • Editing and proofreading of all forms

Experience

  • Three-five years progressively responsible work experience in marketing communications, social media marketing, advertising or another marketing/communications-related environment

  • Exceptional writing ability

  • Must be able to comprehend complex technical writing

  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns

  • Strong project management, multi-tasking and leadership abilities

  • Eye for creativity with some working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign

  • Highly skilled in MS Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Constant Contact or other digital/email marketing campaign software

  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Squarespace and Constant Contact or other email automation system is a definite plus

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Solid understanding of B2B marketing fundamentals in both traditional and internet/social/digital mediums

  • Ability to craft marketing content across all media channels and touch points, including print and online communications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization comfortably

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to lead and inspire team members and outside partners

  • Telecommunications industry knowledge is preferred but not required

Qualification & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, journalism or another related field required

Communicates effectively in oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports and mentoring. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
