Position Summary
eX² Technology is seeking a CAD Technician who is skilled in drafting clear, detailed and complete drawings with accurate detail that incorporates permitting ordinances, design inputs, sketches and field notes to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will create new base maps and post existing system maps from available records. Our ideal candidate can assist with the revision and acceptance of internal CAD work requests.

Roles & Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned in engineering, permitting and construction processes.
Perform all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations, including OSHA, FCC, NESC and NEC, etc. as well as following procedures as outlined in the Installation, Technical, Operations and Safety Manuals and Employee Handbook)
Work with management to schedule work and manage workload to meet customer and Company expectations

Job Requirements
Education
Associate degree in Drafting and Design Technology is desired. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in OSP design or civil engineering design using AutoCAD.
Experience
Expertise using AutoCAD software products, especially AutoCAD Map 3D.
Working knowledge of geospatial coordinate systems
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and MS Project
Working knowledge of Google Earth, Google Maps and similar. Experience in GIS a plus.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent is occasionally required to walk or stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
